A Flexible Approach to Therapy

At Achieving Balance, I offer a range of therapies tailored to meet your needs. Through years of experience, I have identified specific areas where a flexible approach offers multiple benefits to my clients. I work with you to determine the best way forward, whether you have a specific counselling or therapy model in mind, or want to take a broader approach to therapy which combines different models. I work with you to find appointments that suit your needs, a range of payment methods, and offer many therapy services.

Therapy Tailored to Your Needs

flexible therapy for coping with anxiety or depressionAs there is no single approach that can treat each person in every situation, I have trained substantially in several areas in order to serve a breadth of issues. I offer standalone therapy or integrative therapies to suit you.

I am also trained in family and couple therapy and in working with children, meaning I can offer a combination of therapy services to a wide range of individuals, couples, and families. There are numerous ways I have tried to make my clinic flexible to suit each individual client’s needs:

Flexible Appointments

My appointments are very flexible and I work with you to arrange therapy sessions to fit around your other obligations.

Availability

My therapy sessions are by appointment only, but are usually available at relatively short notice.

Frequency

Generally, sessions will run weekly, but you may only require therapy sessions every two to four weeks, or on an ad-hoc basis. I work to find a schedule to suit your needs and the intervals between our sessions will be mutually agreed.

Session Length

My therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes, with the exception of smoking cessation which is two to three hours. If you prefer longer or shorter sessions, I should be able to accommodate this under certain circumstances.

Locations

I offer therapy in my London therapy clinic in Marylebone, as well as Skype therapy sessions, and under certain circumstances, it may be possible to offer home visits.

Times Available

I offer appointments during normal office hours, together with early morning and late evening sessions being available. If you work nearby, you could even fit a session into your lunch break. Weekend sessions are also available.

Therapy Duration

At Achieving Balance, most therapy lasts a relatively short length of time, often one to twelve sessions, where the goals are focused and specific. If you are looking for substantial changes in your life, we can arrange a longer-term of therapy, which can be discussed at your initial session.

Therapy Payment Methods

In this digital age, many people find it inconvenient to carry cash and cheque books. Unlike most other therapy practices, I accept cash and card payments, including Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, American Express, and JCB. I am also an approved therapist with many health insurance companies, including BUPA, Vitality (Pru Health), Aviva, Axa PPP, WPA and Cigna. FInd out more about my competitive rates here.

Flexible Therapy Attendance

Whilst many sessions are on an individual basis, sometimes it can be useful to consider alternatives to who should attend a session. From time to time, for instance, it might be helpful for your partner or trusted family member to attend your therapy session, helping them to better understand the therapy and enable them in supporting you. I have the training and experience to enable this to happen.

If you are interested in a free, 20-minute consultation to discuss how my flexible approach to therapy can help you, please feel free to contact me on 020 7096 8854 or you can contact me online. I am available from 7.30am to 8.30pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings.
